Chief Funding Program Officer
The Chief Funding Program Officer (CFPO) will oversee the development and execution of DIVD.fund’s funding program, which is designed to encourage groundbreaking solutions that address emerging digital threats and empower communities to strengthen cybersecurity worldwide. This role involves managing two distinct funding calls, ensuring that the program attracts impactful proposals, effectively manages financial resources, and drives tangible results in cybersecurity. The CFPO will work closely with the leadership team, program managers, and external stakeholders to align funding efforts with the organization’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
Program Strategy & Development
- Lead the development and refinement of the funding program strategy, aligning it with DIVD.fund’s mission to secure the digital world.
- Define clear objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and metrics to assess the impact and success of funded projects.
- Ensure that the two distinct funding calls address specific needs within the cybersecurity space while fostering innovation and collaboration.
Fundraising & Resource Allocation
- Collaborate with the fundraising team to secure the necessary resources for the funding program, ensuring sufficient financial support for all program calls.
- Oversee the allocation of funds, ensuring fair and strategic distribution to maximize the program’s impact.
Proposal Management & Evaluation
- Oversee the intake, review, and selection process for proposals submitted in response to funding calls.
- Build and lead an evaluation committee to assess the feasibility, impact, and alignment of proposals with DIVD.fund’s strategic priorities.
- Ensure transparency and accountability in the selection process, maintaining the integrity of the funding program.
Partner & Stakeholder Engagement
- Cultivate relationships with potential grantees, government agencies, foundations, and private sector partners to expand the program’s reach and impact.
- Engage with thought leaders, experts, and innovators in the cybersecurity field to ensure the program addresses emerging trends and challenges.
Program Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor the progress of funded projects, providing guidance and support where necessary to ensure successful execution.
- Develop and implement a robust reporting framework to track project outcomes and deliver regular updates to donors, stakeholders, and the leadership team.
- Provide final impact assessments and detailed reports on the effectiveness and reach of the funding program.
Team Leadership & Capacity Building
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of program managers and staff involved in the funding program.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture, promoting professional development and innovation.
Qualifications
- Experience: significant experience in funding program management, grantmaking, or a related field, with a proven track record of managing multi-faceted financial programs.
- Leadership: strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage diverse teams, ensuring program goals are met efficiently.
- Sector Knowledge: familiarity with cybersecurity, digital security, or technology innovation is highly desirable.
- Strategic Thinking: ability to design and implement large-scale funding strategies that align with organizational objectives and address real-world challenges.
- Communication: excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and represent the organization in external settings.
